In 1994, we invented our first-ever Merino wool performance sock, the Classic Hike. Today, we’re releasing a limited-edition using the socks that were almost thrown away.
Our new Second Cut™ Hike sock combines the iconic fit and feel of our original sock, featuring circular yarn, made in the USA from a 50-50 blend of sock waste and responsibly sourced Merino wool.
Smartwool has set a north star to be climate positive—to do more than offset the bad, but leave the environment better than we found it. That’s why we’re looking at our entire supply chain and identifying areas where we can go further than just reducing our environmental impact and, instead, help revitalize the earth we love to explore.
