At the heart of Collette Marie's artistic practice is weaving her life experiences, her identity as a Xicana woman of indigenous descent, and her home in the Chihuahuan Desert. The subjects of her visual narratives are imbued with a superhuman mythos. Her deeply cherished connection with her culture and the natural world is strongly reflected throughout her various bodies of work, inviting the viewer to experience with reverence and joy.
